Drawing fundamentals for adult beginners. We will talk about the basics of drawing by drawing from observation. Cost is $20. Please pre-register as class size is limited to 12 students. For adults, ages 18 and up.  This is a monthly workshop for the beginning writer as well as long-time writers.  To encourage creative writers and build creative writing skills.  We will meet in room CC.203B in the Vineyard Community Center on the 3rd Saturday of each month (except holiday weekends) from 9-11am to share what we have learned about writing that might help others in the group.  We are using the book, "Caring for Words in a Culture of Lies", by Marilyn Chandler McEntyre, discussing one chapter each month.  In addition, each participant will bring a written paragraph, essay, short story, or poem (not to exceed 3 pages or 1,750 words) to be shared with and critiqued by the group.  There is no cost for this program.  There is an approximate $12 cost for the book which should be purchased before you begin.  No need to pre-register.  Just come!

This (repeating) class brings the fundamentals of guitar into an atmosphere of popular music and collective musical expression.  Prerequisites for this class are an interest in music and a desire to learn.  Fearlessness is a plus.  Take this class until you meet the prerequisites for Guitar: Basics 2.  MUST PRE-REGISTER, as class size is limited to 10 students.  Please indicate on the registration form whether or not not you have your own guitar that you will bring with you.  We have a limited number of guitars available to use (in class only).  For more information about this class, email the instructor.  Registration questions should be directed to vineyardcommunitycenter.org.

This (repeating) class picks up where Guitar: Basics leaves off.  To join this class you must demonstrate clean arpeggios and transitions of basic chords (G, C2, D, Emi7, Ami7), and you must be able to perform a song. MUST PRE-REGISTER, as class size is limited to 10 students.  NOTE: Instructor will recommend this class when students are ready.  For more information about this class, email the instructor.  Registration questions should be directed to vineyardcommunitycenter.org.

This (repeating) class is geared toward kids, ages 10 through 14 who are interested in music and having a good time.  We will focus on learning at least one song by the end of six weeks.  Children have the option of re-registering and repeating the class as many times as they would like until they are eligible to join Guitar: Basics.  MUST PRE-REGISTER, as class size is limited to 10 students.  Please indicate on the registration form whether or not not you have your own guitar that you will bring with you.  We have a limited number of guitars available to use (in class only).  For more information about this class, email the instructor.  Registration questions should be directed to vineyardcommunitycenter.org.

This (repeating) class is for those of you who have moved through the classes and are ready to "dive in" as it were.  Here, we will learn songs in all natural keys, play melodies, explore the basics of fingerstyle guitar, sing the blues, "walk the line", etc.  Take this class until you are ready to move on to bigger things.  Feel free to include me in the "thank you" section of your first major label record!  MUST PRE-REGISTER, as class size is limited to 10 students.  NOTE: Instructor will recommend this class when students are ready.  For more information about this class, email the instructor.  Registration questions should be directed to vineyardcommunitycenter.org.

For grades 6 and up.  This 8-week class requires a minimum of three years ballet experience.  Students will work on flexibility, strength, body placement and leaps and turns.  This will help in all areas of dance.  Level of difficulty and variations are dependent upon skill level of students.  Clothing must fit and must not be baggy.  Sweatshirts and pants may be worn for warm-up, but must be removed for floor work.  Leggings and shorts are acceptable.  Tights are optional as are shoes.  Socks or lyrical shoes are recommended.  Ballet shoes are also an option.  Cost for this class is $45.  Please pre-register as class size is limited.

In this 10-week class, students will learn the basics of theatre from history, to stage terminology, to production.  In each class students will stretch their creative abilities through physical warm-ups, improvisation games, and other chances to use their imagination and dream big! Depending upon progress in class, students may have the opportunity for their hard work to be showcased for family and friends at the end of 10 weeks.  Cost is $25.
