Exploring Open Office - A Free Alternative to Microsoft Office

This class will offer a review of OpenOffice 3.x as an alternative to Microsoft Office.  How is it similar?  How is it different? OpenOffice is FREE and will read and create Microsoft compatible word processing, presentation and spreadsheet documents.  We will actually use OpenOffice to read and modify Microsoft Office documents.  We will look at the user interface and how to navigate through the applications.  Purchasing Microsoft Office is expensive ($119-$499) and can be daunting to most households and many businesses.  This is a high quality alternative that is FREE!  Share it with your friends!  Save on software to reinvest into the family budget, subsidize your losses in your 401K, buy your wife some flowers, or buy a homeless person lunch a few times!  Cost is $10.  *Class will meet every other Tuesday evening (4 classes).  Please pre-register as class size is limited to 18 students.  For more information, contact Odean Goforth at email below.
