Fun with a purpose for boys, from 1st grade or ages 11 through 18. Through exciting games, activities, sports and projects, boys will learn life skills to help them grow into good citizens who are strong in character and personally fit. We are in need of adult volunteer leaders in our committee to help us nurture our young Boy Scouts into responsible young men with values.

For kids in grades 1-2 who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus in a fun-filled mentoring atmosphere.  Cost is $5 for 12 weeks.  *Will not meet on Oct 28 or Nov 25.  Will resume again on Jan 5.  To register, or for more information, contact Mike Szlapak.

Give back to your community through the love of your dog!  Learn how to have your dog interact as a well-mannered member of your family or learn what it takes to have your dog(s) certified through the AKC as Canine Good Citizens, as well as a certified Therapy Dog through Therapy Dogs International, Inc. (TDI, Inc.)  The dogs will be taught to pass the following tests:

 

Test 1: Accepting a Friendly Stranger

Test 2: Sitting Politely for Petting

Test 3: Appearance and Grooming

Test 4: Out for a Walk (walking on a loose leash)

Test 5: Walking through a Crowd

Test 6: Sit and Down on Command/Staying in Place

Test 7: Coming When Called

Test 8: Reaction to Another Dog

Test 9: Reactions to Distractions

Test 10: Supervised Separation

 

Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings in the South parking lot at Vineyard Columbus from 7-8pm.

 

Session 2:    Oct 5, 12, 19, 26, Nov 2

                  CGC/TDI Test: Nov 9

Meets in the Vineyard Community Center Gym. Safe equipment is provided for large motor activities designed for 2-5 year olds. No registration is required for this free open gym. This is a great way for moms to connect with other women!
