Quality Health Care Options from          Vineyard Community Center
Vineyard Community Center's (VCC) mission is simply to be the best friend to our city.  We say this not because we want anything, but because we want to give something.  If there is a need or an activity in which we can assist - we will!  In addition to immigration services, career counseling, classes for parents, after school programs for kids, and much much more - we offer FREE health, dental, vision, and chiropractic clinics!  Last year, our two clinic locations saw more than 1,300 patients through the dedicated service of medical professionals and volunteer teams who live and work in Central Ohio.
We continue to look for ways to expand services, meet additional needs, or partner with other local charities and non-profits to do things better.
Over the last year, our free health clinics launched a partnership with another organization in Columbus, Lower Lights Christian Health Center*.  Having a 13-year history in Central Ohio, Lower Lights serves nearly 10,000 patients every year.  Beginning August 17th, Lower Lights will launch a 9am-pm Monday through Friday clinic at our Vineyard Clinic 5th Avenue location.  VCC's medical clinic will continue to operate in the evenings providing episodic care to the uninsured and Medicaid population at no cost.
This partnership will allow our walk-in patients to return to our facilities to receive ongoing primary care at an affordable cost, as well as, access to other much-needed services, such as counseling, psychiatry, lab work, and spiritual care.  Lower Lights also works with uninsured patients to determine if they qualify for Medicaid or health care subsidies and if not, are billed on a sliding-income scale.  Finally, our partnership will allow us to serve a broader population, including those who do have some form of health insurance or are above the income bracket to qualify for service at the free clinics.
*Lower Lights is a Federally Qualified Health Center, meaning that they see patients with Medicaid, Medicare, CareSource, Molina and private insurance as well as uninsured patients.  No patient is turned away from treatment or prohibited from seeing a practitioner from inability to pay.  For more information, please call 614.274.1455.
