Commonly Asked Questions
How can I register?
Familes may register after completing a tour of VECC, our registration paperwork, and submitting a $50 registration fee.
How do I schedule a tour of the center?
You can email the VECC team to schedule a tour. Tours typically take place during the morning between 10:00am - 11:30am and 3:00pm - 4:30pm.
Do you accept part time enrollment in your full time, year round program?
No, we only accept children who need care all day, Monday through Friday.
Do you accept Title XX?
Yes, but you must be approved for full time hours and can verify that you currently receive benefits in order to enroll your child.
Do you have a waiting list for your center, and if so, how do I get onto the waiting list?
Yes, we do have a waiting list for some of our classrooms, but it is always a good rule to call and check on the wait list status. To put your child on the wait list, we will need a completed registration form along with a non-refundable $50 registration fee to hold
a space.
What type of curriculum do you use?
We use The Creative Curriculum, which is a play-based curriculum. We foster the concept that children learn through play and exploration. Our teachers create age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate the developmental and academic needs
of the children. In addition, the teachers individualize their lesson plans to meet the children's needs and align their plans with Ohio's Early Learning and Developmental Standards.
Parents can access our lesson plans, individual plans and photo gallery through Teaching Strategies, our online assessment tool which Vineyard Early Childhood Center teachers use to document and assess children's development.
